A chilling incident has emerged from Agra, Uttar Pradesh. In the village of Kamal, within the jurisdiction of the Kheragarh police station, a young man shot a woman dead and then committed suicide by shooting himself. Their bodies were discovered near the fields. Upon receiving the news, the police arrived at the scene, took possession of the bodies, and sent them for autopsy, initiating an investigation into the matter.
Reports indicate that this tragic event took place on Sunday evening. Vinay, a 40-year-old resident of Kamal village, worked alongside Amar Singh from Bandpura village in farming. It is reported that Vinay lured Amar Singh's 22-year-old daughter, Preeti, outside the village under some pretext and shot her with a firearm to the head. Following this, Vinay shot himself.
First, the Woman was Shot, then the Man Took His Own Life
Villagers reported that Vinay's behavior was often inappropriate. He frequently engaged in conflicts and pressured Preeti to converse with him against her will. Preeti maintained her distance, which angered Vinay.
During the incident, Vinay was seen with a pistol in hand. Shortly after, the sound of gunfire was heard. Villagers who rushed to the scene found Preeti and Vinay's bodies lying in a pool of blood. Police are investigating the case from multiple angles.
Police Initiated the Investigation
Preeti's father, Amar Singh, revealed that Vinay exerted pressure on the family and threatened them with a pistol. Deputy Commissioner of Police West, Sonam Kumar, stated that it appears to be a case of a romantic relationship. A licensed pistol was recovered from the scene. The police have sent the bodies for post-mortem examination, and the investigation continues.
