Aaj Tak Secures Absolute Majority in Viewership
During the Lok Sabha election count, Aaj Tak's share in the market remained above 50 percent, solidifying its hold within just two hours of counting commencement.

Looking at the viewership chart, Aaj Tak's share jumped to 60 percent. At the peak of counting, Aaj Tak's viewership was 3.5 times that of the number 2 channel.

Aaj Tak Breaks News Viewership Records
On Tuesday, Aaj Tak surpassed its previous viewership records set during significant events like the inauguration of the Ram Temple and the Chandrayaan landing. An average of nearly 50 million people were watching Aaj Tak simultaneously across various platforms. Not just that, during the election count, Aaj Tak was watched for over 200 crore minutes across digital platforms.
In addition, Aaj Tak dominated YouTube with a viewership of 25 million, capturing 33% of the market share. The channel also witnessed an influx of over 100,000 new followers on their Whatsapp channel within a few hours, with more than 75,000 interactions recorded. On Google, Aaj Tak was searched over 10 million times in a single day.
India Today Achieves Top Spot
On counting day, India Today also touched 500,000 concurrent viewership figures. When Pradeep Gupta was on air, India Today seized a 66 percent concurrent viewership share, securing a full majority in the race. India Today also had an impressive watch time accumulation.

Combining all platforms, India Today achieved a total watch time of 50 crore minutes. Likewise, they saw a 10,000 new member increase on Whatsapp, which was 15 times more than Times of India's growth.
