An unwavering longing for death and a persistent wait. A mother's fervent wish is for death to embrace her son. With this wish, she extends her arms towards the heavens daily, praying for her son's demise. But it seems the Almighty turns a deaf ear. Disheartened, the mother turns to the courts with her wish. Yet, the courts also bid her to wait instead of fulfilling her desire. A wait... for death itself.

The Daily Struggle Between Life and Death

Amidst this longing and waiting, life and death continue their struggle under the roof of the home. It's a struggle where victory in life paradoxically means defeat because within this household, prayers are made not for life, but for death. This is Harish's story. His world is confined to a bed measuring six by four feet. Despite such a small corner of existence, Harish hasn't seen the world beyond his bed for the past 11 years. He's unable to rise, walk, turn, laugh, cry, speak, eat, or drink on his own. Essentially, he's a living corpse; a heartbeat without life.

A Family Going Through Unimaginable Pain

A seemingly ordinary apartment in Ghaziabad houses a room unlike any other, marking this family's unique plight. This story of partial living, part corpse, complicates the worldly rules. Harish remains just so, lying in the same room for 11 years.

The Tragic Tale of a Young Life Halted

Youth vibrant and dreams abundant, Harish wanted to become an engineer—a dream that came to an abrupt end when he fell from the balcony of his accommodation, leaving him with grave injuries. Despite treatment in several hospitals, his condition remained unchanged, a 'living dead' lying motionless on his bed, becoming a skeleton over time, yet, not considered dead because he still breathes.

A desperate mother, after years of unstoppable prayers for her son's life, now prays for his peaceful end. But the court denied her plea for euthanasia, casting Harish's fate to the hands of the highest court. Yet, everything hangs between hope and waiting.
