A day after the resounding defeat in the Bihar Assembly elections, Rohini Acharya, daughter of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad, stirred controversy on Saturday by abruptly announcing her exit from politics and the severance of ties with her family. In an emotionally charged and cryptic post on her X handle, she wrote, “I am leaving politics and breaking away from my family. This is what Sanjay Yadav and Rameez told me. I take full responsibility.”
This statement caused a political stir in Bihar, notably because Rohini mentioned two names—Sanjay Yadav, an RJD Rajya Sabha MP and one of Tejashwi Yadav's closest aides, and Rameez, about whom little was known in political circles until now.

However, Rohini reposted a message on her X handle, sharing shocking claims about Rameez. The repost asserts that the Rameez Rohini referred to is not an ordinary individual but Rameez Nemat, a man with a controversial background.

Who is Rameez Nemat?
The information Rohini shared accuses Rameez of several major allegations, describing him as a resident of Balrampur, Uttar Pradesh, and a first-class cricketer for Jharkhand. He is reputed to have a close friendship with Sanjay Yadav. It's alleged that Rameez works for Sanjay Yadav and has a gangster-like image, with murder charges against him. His father-in-law is listed among the top 10 criminals in UP. The post also claims Rameez is out on bail from jail.

However, there has yet to be an independent verification of these claims. Neither Sanjay Yadav nor Rameez has commented on the issue.
Electoral Defeat and Rising Tensions in RJD
Rohini’s move comes at a time when RJD suffered a severe setback in Bihar, with their seat count plummeting from 75 to just 25. Meanwhile, the BJP and JDU grand alliance won 202 seats, achieving their 'cross 200 goal'. JDU's efforts to form a government are accelerating, with leaders Lalan Singh and Sanjay Jha reaching Delhi.
