Agenda AajTak 2024:
On the second day of Agenda AajTak's 'Laughter and Joy' session, poets Surendra Sharma and Ashok Chakradhar engaged in lively conversations filled with humor and depth. Responding to a query about reaching the audience, Surendra Sharma humorously remarked, "If I'm not asking for your trade secret, why reveal mine?" His witty response led to an outbreak of laughter across the auditorium.
When asked, 'What should people do to be like you?'
Surendra Sharma replied, "To be like me, aspire to age eighty. We focus on love, not war. A nation thrives on love, not hatred."
He then recited a verse, stating...
Water will aid you, Blood cannot wash away blood.
Renowned poet Ashok Chakradhar began by quoting a poem from the great poet Gopaldas Neeraj...
Those who seek happiness return with wealth, Those who seek laughter return with a garden But those who embark on the quest for love return with neither mind nor body.
Ashok Chakradhar commented, "In the pursuit of happiness, one may bring wealth, but the journey ultimately leads to an abundance of joy and laughter."
This house is a home of pain, open the curtains to see Within laughter lies sorrow, pull aside the curtains to witness.- Ashok Chakradhar
He further explained, "We are people of time, not of religious boards. Where there is love for the country, that's where we belong. We embrace love, not conflict.
Another insight: One plus one is two for ordinary folks, three for traders, eleven for sages, but it remains one for true lovers.
He continued, expressing that loving individuals often express gratitude even in gravity. Surendra Ji becomes essential in such times; even curiosity prompts a 'why' with respect.
Ashok Chakradhar noted, "Poets swiftly gauge public sentiment. By immersing themselves among people, performing poetry, and measuring applause, one discerns the forthcoming votes. Temperature can change anytime."
