In the cyber city of Gurugram, specifically in the Bilaspur precinct, the police apprehended three individuals for setting fire to two cars using petrol as an act of revenge rooted in an old feud. The arson targeted a Thar parked outside a home which, consequently, engulfed a nearby WagonR. Both cars were reduced to ashes. The entire incident was captured by nearby CCTV cameras, which significantly aided the investigation.

Ashok Kumar, the spokesperson for Gurugram Police Headquarters, reported that on December 16th, a complaint was filed at the Bilaspur station. According to the complainant, around 2 AM, unknown individuals poured a flammable substance over his Thar car, igniting it. The blaze spread rapidly, reaching the nearby WagonR. Upon receiving the information, the police registered a case and commenced the search for the culprits.

During the investigation, the Bilaspur police team, relying on CCTV footage and technical evidence, managed to arrest the three suspects in Manesar. The suspected individuals were identified as Rahul (27) from Wazirabad, Subhash (39) from Sidharwali, both from Gurugram, and Warish Sheikh (27) from Bashratpur, Uttar Dinajpur district, West Bengal.

During police interrogation, it emerged that the suspect Subhash is a neighbor of the complainant. About a year ago, a dispute arose between Subhash, his sister, and the complainant regarding the digging of a drainage pit. Driven by this grievance, Subhash concocted a plan for revenge. On the night of the incident, Subhash, accompanied by his sister, her son Rahul, and Warish Sheikh, arrived in a Sidharwali eco-car at the complainant's residence. As directed by the other suspects, Warish Sheikh doused the vehicles with petrol, setting them ablaze.

Preparation for Court Hearing

The police have apprehended all three suspects and are preparing to present them in court to seek custody. Further investigations are ongoing as the police meticulously examine all aspects of the case.
