Following a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian government took a firm stance by canceling the visas of all Pakistani citizens in the country. Additionally, instructions were given to leave the country within 48 hours. This decision has brought Seema Haider's situation back into the spotlight.
Seema Haider entered India via Nepal and married Indian youth Sachin Meena. She resides with her in-laws in Raghupur village, Uttar Pradesh, and recently gave birth to a baby girl.
Seema Haider's Case Receives Attention Again
Seema Haider’s lawyer, AP Singh, issued a statement confirming that her case is different from other Pakistani nationals. Her documents are submitted to the Ministry of Home Affairs and ATS, and her petition is pending with the President.
He also mentioned that she was granted bail by a Uttar Pradesh court and is complying with all legal requirements. The lawyer claimed that Seema and her family have received death threats from Pakistan-supported elements, with complaints lodged periodically.
Petition Pending with the President
AP Singh stated that Seema is staying in India on asylum grounds and has full confidence in the Indian and Uttar Pradesh governments. Meanwhile, a video of Seema Haider's first husband, Ghulam Haider, has emerged. In the video, he appeals for Seema to be sent back to Pakistan, expressing his longing for his children over the past two years. He urges the Indian government to send his children back to Pakistan, and if Seema cannot be sent, then she should be punished there. He criticized her so-called brother AP Singh for helping her.
