An astonishing incident has emerged from Gonda, Uttar Pradesh. A newly wedded bride drugged her in-laws and vanished, taking gold and other valuables with her. Once the in-laws regained consciousness, they realized what had happened and immediately reported the matter to the police.

The incident took place in the Pandeypurwa Bedoura market area under Khargupur police station limits, where a bride arrived just five days prior. She mixed drugs in her in-laws' food, rendering them unconscious before escaping with the entire household belongings. Her family members and a female friend aided her in this heist.

Meanwhile, as the complaint was filed, police began the search and managed to apprehend the runaway bride. Four other accomplices were also arrested and the stolen goods were recovered. The police shared comprehensive details of the case, revealing the true intentions during interrogation.

Additional Superintendent of Police Radhe Shyam Rai stated that Brijbhushan Pandey's marriage to a girl from Lakhimpur took place on December 17. On the night of December 22, the bride spiked the family's food, causing them to fall unconscious. Collaborating with her relatives, she fled with valuables from the household. Four individuals had accompanied the bride prior to the incident.

The Victim's Narrative

Brijbhushan Pandey lodged a complaint with the police, stating that Jokhu facilitated his marriage on the 17th. Alongside his bride, four others were present. On the night of the 22nd, the family's food was laced with drugs, leaving everyone unconscious. Subsequently, the items of the house were looted.

The police filed an FIR and launched an investigation forming three search teams. The efforts bore fruit recently as they succeeded in capturing the bride and her four accomplices. During interrogation, it was unveiled that the bride and her companions are part of a poison-gang with a criminal past.
