An Air India flight (AI-610) flying from Jaipur to Bengaluru was forced to make an emergency landing at Indore Airport on Tuesday evening. The flight crew declared a medical emergency after a one-year-old child on board suddenly experienced breathing difficulties. Despite receiving prompt medical aid, the child's life could not be saved.

According to DCP Krishna Lal Chandani from the Aerodrome Police Station area, the flight took off from Jaipur around 5:30 PM and was scheduled to reach Bengaluru by approximately 8:10 PM. During the flight, one-year-old Abrar began experiencing severe breathing difficulties, and his family alerted the cabin crew. A doctor on the plane began administering first aid. Given the seriousness of the situation, the pilot coordinated with Indore Airport around 7:20 PM for an emergency landing, and the plane landed safely.

After landing, continuous CPR was administered to the child, and he was rushed to a nearby hospital in an ambulance. Unfortunately, despite the efforts of medical staff, the child was declared dead before reaching the hospital.

Initial reports identified the child as Mohammad Abrar, who was traveling with his parents and elder brother, returning home to Bengaluru. Family members mentioned that Abrar’s health was not entirely fine before boarding the flight, and his condition worsened during the journey.

Despite the swift actions of airport officials and the flight crew, the child could not be saved. The family has presently departed with the child's body without a post-mortem.
