In Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, a young man's desire for a child led him into a web of tantric rituals, resulting in his mysterious death. This incident took place in the Ramnagar Maniharan area, in the village of Landhoura Gurjar. The deceased, identified as 35-year-old Satnam alias Chhota, had been married for nearly 10-12 years but remained childless. The family accuses a tantric of committing murder.

According to the family, Satnam was troubled due to the lack of offspring and sought treatment with his wife at various places, to no avail. Meanwhile, a villager named Tejpal introduced him to a tantric who claimed that occult practices could grant him children. The tantric instructed them to conduct rituals in the darkness of night, in a field. On Wednesday night around 8 PM, Satnam went with the tantric, sent his wife back home, and was advised to switch off his mobile.

Taken to the jungle one Thursday night, he succumbed under mysterious circumstances while being taken to the hospital, leading the police to detain the tantric and send the body for an autopsy.

Around 1:30 to 2 AM, Satnam regained consciousness and called a neighborhood youth, stating he was in the field and unable to move. His family rushed to the site, finding him shivering from cold, and brought him home. Upon reaching home, Satnam requested water, but drinking it made his condition worse. His family took him to three different doctors in Saharanpur, only to have him declared dead at the last.

Following his death, the family accused the tantric and the person who summoned Satnam of murder, filing a complaint at the police station. The allegations suggest that the tantric had been deceiving people in the village with claims of supernatural solutions. The incident escalated tensions in the village, prompting family protests demanding strict action. Upon notification, police arrived at the scene, seized the body, and sent it for postmortem.

Reacting to the incident, activists from the Bhim Army and other organizations arrived in the village, assuring justice for the grieving family. Officer Ashok Sisodia stated that an investigation has been launched based on the family's complaint. The exact cause of death will be revealed in the autopsy report. Currently, police are thoroughly examining all aspects, and necessary legal actions are being taken.
