TVS Motors has launched its famous scooter, TVS Jupiter 110, in a completely new avatar in the domestic market today. This new model will replace the nearly-decade-old Jupiter. Priced starting at ₹73,700 (ex-showroom), this attractive scooter is equipped with a powerful engine and is designed for families. It competes directly with the Honda Activa in the market. The company has made several changes to the new Jupiter, making it more advanced and superior compared to the previous model.
Look and Design:
The new TVS Jupiter has been built on the same chassis as before, but it has been given a completely fresh look and design. Its appearance is sharper and more stylish than before. A broad LED Daytime Running Light (DRL) is provided at the front. Additionally, the side profile of the scooter has undergone considerable changes. The rear part now features a broader frame, making the scooter look attractive from behind as well.
Power and Performance:
The new Jupiter is powered by a 113cc engine that generates 8hp of power and 9.8Nm of torque. There's an increment of about 0.1hp in the power output. This is the first scooter in the segment to come equipped with the ‘iGO Assist’ micro-hybrid technology. This system includes a more powerful battery (which gets charged during engine deceleration), powering the ISG motor.

The scooter has a 5.1-litre fuel tank capacity, which is positioned in the floorboard area. It also features a front apron opening for added convenience.
