The Bangladeshi law enforcement agency arrested Chinmoy Krishna Das on treason charges on November 25. Upon his bail being denied by court, his supporters took to the streets in protest.

The situation worsens post the arrest of Chinmoy Prabhu, Chairman of ISKCON Pundarik Dham, Chattogram, Bangladesh. Hindu society demonstrators were attacked by BNP and Jamaat activists, injuring 50 Hindus.
Post his arrest, the Hindu minority community organized peaceful assemblies across Bangladesh. However, extremist groups attacked these gatherings, particularly targeting Hindu community members in Chattogram.

Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari is a principal leader of the Sanatan Jagaran Foundation in Bangladesh and Chairman of ISKCON Pundarik Dham, Chattogram. Known as Chinmoy Prabhu, he has been a strong voice against the injustices faced by the Hindu community in Bangladesh. ISKCON hosts over 77 temples in Bangladesh, with a community exceeding 50,000 members.
