A car lost control and crashed into a tree in Thane, Maharashtra, resulting in the instant death of three passengers and injuring three others. Police arrived at the scene, took possession of the bodies and sent them for autopsy, while the injured were transported to the hospital. The accident occurred around 8:30 PM on Sunday night in Borande village of Tokawade.

According to information, the car's occupants were heading from Kalyan to visit the Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga. During the journey, the car lost control and collided with a tree in Tokawade. The deceased have been identified as Narendra Mhatre (34), Prateek Chorge (30), and Ashwin Bhoir (28). The injured have been identified as Shivaji Ghadge (35), Vaibhav Kumawat (24), and Akshay Ghadge (25). All were residents of Kalyan Taluka in Thane district.

Police reported that the occupants were traveling in an Ertiga car on Sunday night from Kalyan to Bhimashankar Temple. Upon reaching Tokawade, the driver lost control, causing the car to crash into a tree with all occupants trapped inside. Nearby residents rushed to the scene and notified local police. The victims were transported to a nearby hospital.

Unfortunately, three were pronounced dead, while three others sustained fractures in their limbs and are being treated at the hospital. Assistant Police Inspector Dinkar Chakor from Tokawade Police Station stated that Narendra Mhatre, one of the deceased, was a contractor in Kalyan, and the other two deceased were working at Mhatre’s site. The bodies were handed over to their families for the last rites after the post-mortem examination.
