Satire: Property, Water, Forest, Sewers and Tap People, Remember the Sacrifices...

On this day, the government also lights up the government buildings. Those who could not understand the importance of freedom during the day are hoped to break the limits of understanding of this 'bright day' under the night light. If possible, break down all walls of contemplation.

Once again, Independence Day has arrived. Since gaining independence, it keeps coming, yet we have to remember that August 15th is our national festival. It holds immense importance, especially for filmmakers. If this day didn't exist, the question of how they would convey patriotism is a fiery one.

Filmmakers have shown so much patriotism through this day that even the soul of the nation trembles. Actor-Director Manoj Kumar's contribution in this field is remarkable, unparalleled, and unforgettable. He gave the nation a freedom fighter named Bharat Kumar (his persona) personally. Bollywood followed his lead, bringing Nana Patekar, a fervent patriot, into the film industry with great effort. Many filmmakers and actors have dedicated their lives to the notion of patriotism. It's a different story that in this process, only their homes turned into large mansions.

Similar to filmmakers, music companies also place great importance on this day. They distribute patriotism in so many voices throughout the country that every ear from Kashmir to Kanyakumari gets a dose. The patriotic songs that start with vigor and passion in the morning reach such terrifying voices by evening that the poor song itself feels sorry for its condition. Tears fall from the sound boxes, and loudspeakers start weeping. However, no one notices. Meanwhile, an ordinary person also gets a chance to get a bit emotional.

On this day, the government also illuminates government buildings. Those who could not grasp the significance of freedom during the day are expected to understand the importance of this 'bright day' under the glow of the night lights. If possible, even break down the barriers of thoughtful contemplation. They should impart wisdom to the whole world, leaving themselves behind.

The day holds great importance for employees too. They honor the day by catching up on their sleep. They bring potatoes, onions, and groceries home. In the afternoon, they pay tribute to cinematic martyrs by watching patriotic films on TV. They lament over watching patriotic movies from other countries on Netflix, widening their eyes at the efforts of those heroines. They sigh over the lack of glamour in our country's patriotism, reluctantly remembering pending chores and disciplining their kids. After these tasks, they head to their friend's house to chat. Throughout, the importance of the day remains in their minds, and they strive to make the most of every moment with patriotism.

For many talented sons and daughters, this day holds immense importance. They fulfill their national duty by making reels in every nook and cranny of parks, shops, land, houses, and everything on this earth. Then, they comfortably watch others' efforts in these very nooks and crannies. They feel miserable over their camera's poor quality and their talents' mediocrity from every angle.

For mothers and wives, this day is one of hard work. Husbands and kids continuously demand snacks while seated. They neither get to watch their favorite serials nor chat with neighbors. Similarly, for the elderly, this day holds great significance. They spend the entire day watching TV, reading newspapers, and coughing—just like every day. As an additional activity, they present a duet of coughing with the glorious past. The son distances himself due to the coughing, and the grandson avoids the golden past duet. In both cases, the elder’s preoccupation with cursing the present increases.

So, entangled in the real and reel, in the enthusiasm and exuberance of the day, we forget the simple fact... that this freedom came from the sacrifices of thousands of martyrs, that's all!
