On March 14, with Holi and Friday prayers coinciding, the police administration of Sambhal district in Uttar Pradesh is on high alert. On Thursday, Superintendent of Police (SP) Krishna Kumar Bishnoi and Circle Officer (CO) Anuj Choudhary took to the streets alongside the Rapid Action Force (RAF), Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC), and Reserve Response Force (RRF) for a flag march, focusing on the city's sensitive areas and the routes of the Holi procession.
Starting in front of the grand Shahi Jama Masjid, SP KK Bishnoi and CO Anuj Choudhary led the police forces through key marketplaces and other vulnerable regions, accompanied by various police units as well as RAF and PAC teams.
The officials assessed security measures and provided essential directives to maintain peace in sensitive zones. The march aimed to prevent any untoward incidents during Holi and Friday prayers and to bolster public confidence in security measures.

Special Focus on Sensitive Areas
During the march, police paid special attention to the Holi procession routes and sensitive locations. Additional police forces have been stationed around the Jama Masjid and main bazaar.
Moreover, surveillance through CCTV cameras and drones is being arranged. The administration held a peace committee meeting with both communities, agreeing to conduct Friday prayers at 2:30 PM after Holi activities conclude.
The police clarified that any disturbances would not be tolerated. This initiative aims to avert a repetition of past year’s conflicts and ensure the festivals proceed in an atmosphere of amity.
The extensive flag march and foot patrol by Sambhal police are deemed crucial for security. All eyes are set on the next day, when Holi and Friday prayers coincide.
