Over 24 hours have passed since the train hijack in Balochistan, yet the PAK military has not managed to rescue all the hostages. Meanwhile, the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has issued a fresh ultimatum to the PAK government, asserting control over more than 200 hostages. The Pakistani government has 24 hours to act. Failure to exchange prisoners could lead to serious repercussions for the PAK government.
The BLA warned, 'Revolutionaries of the Baloch Liberation Army have maintained full control over the Jaffer Express and its hostages for the past 24 hours. More than 200 security personnel, including intelligence agents, police, and paramilitary forces, are under BLA capture. These individuals have been implicated in state terrorism, enforced disappearances, killings, and the exploitation of Baloch resources.'
Initially 48-Hour Ultimatum Given
The Baloch Liberation Army continued, 'Considering wartime international laws and human rights, BLA initially provided a 48-hour ultimatum for a prisoner exchange. However, the government's stubbornness and indifference suggest they are unwilling to save their own security forces.'
BLA's letter further stated, 'One day has passed. The Pakistani government now has only 24 hours remaining. If the government fails to move forward with the prisoner exchange within this period, all hostages will be presented before the Baloch National Court to face trial for allegations of atrocities, occupation, genocide, exploitation, and war crimes.'

'PAK Government Misunderstands the Situation'
The trial, as elaborated by BLA, will be swift, fair, and transparent. If found guilty, the perpetrators will be punished according to Baloch national laws. Pakistan and its military institutions' belief that they can control the situation through delay is a grave misunderstanding. The BLA has the power to carry out its declarations fully.
Suicide Bombers Among Hostages
The Pakistani army is striving tirelessly to rescue the hostages, yet the rescue operations face significant challenges. Reports suggest BLA has placed suicide bombers among the hostages, wearing explosive vests, complicating rescue efforts for security forces.

Hostages Taken Following Explosion
The Baloch army released a video of the train hijack, showing the train moving at a regular pace before an explosion caused it to halt. BLA fighters were seen in the surrounding hills. Notably, Jaffer Express departed for Peshawar at 9:00 AM on March 11, expected to arrive at Sibi station by 1:30 PM, but was attacked near the Bolan's Mashfaq Tunnel.

Explosion Destroys Tunnel Number 8
The hijacked Jaffer Express, leaving Quetta for Peshawar on March 11 at around 9:00 AM, was scheduled to arrive at Sibi by 1:30 PM. The attack occurred in Bolan's Mashfaq Tunnel, a mountainous region with 17 tunnels, forcing the train to slow down. BLA took advantage of this, destroying Tunnel Number 8, causing the train to derail and leading to the hijack.
