At its Vision 2025 event, Ola Electric unveiled its second electric bike, the Diamondhead. Currently, the prototype model has been introduced to the world, with production slated for 2027. Inspired by futuristic design seen in science fiction films, this electric motorcycle is expected to be priced at 500,000 INR.
In terms of looks and design, it stands out uniquely from any other electric bikes available in the market today. Not even the ICE (petrol) versions in the Indian market compare. The Diamondhead showcases an advanced design language, complete with a diamond-shaped front end, a sleek horizontal LED light strip, a unique headlamp, and a sharp rear section. It features sleek body panels that differentiate it from other electric motorcycles.

Ola Electric stated that space-grade aluminum, carbon fiber, and magnesium will be used in the manufacturing of Diamondhead to keep the weight light despite its hefty design, enhancing performance. Remarkably, the company boasts that this motorcycle can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2 seconds.
While features like active aerodynamics and adaptive suspension have been available in motorcycles for some time, Diamondhead also comes equipped with active ergonomics. This feature is designed to assist the rider by adjusting handlebars or foot pegs for improved control while riding, adapting to the rider's position during the journey.
Additionally, Diamondhead will be equipped with advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) similar to those in cars, traction control, and safety features like AI integration. The ADAS suite includes adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, front collision alert, along with terrain-specific traction management and ABS. By incorporating its 'Smart AR' helmet and smart wearables, Ola aims to create a unique ecosystem by pairing them with the motorcycle.

Ola will use its self-developed India Cell 4680 battery for this electric bike. Currently, the company is working on this battery pack to enhance power and performance in time for the launch. However, details about the range and performance of this electric bike haven't been disclosed yet. Nevertheless, Ola Electric's founder Bhavish Aggarwal stated, "Diamondhead will be the most phenomenal bike ever. It will offer a completely reimagined perspective on performance biking globally."
The Ola Diamondhead concept was showcased two years ago as well. But this time, it includes many unique features and technologies, claimed by the company to be the world's first for any bike. These include active ergonomics, among others. Currently, this is a prototype model, and the company plans to release it by 2027. As for pricing, the target remains 500,000 INR; however, the actual price will be announced closer to the launch.
