Another Gujarat Congress MLA, Arvind Ladani, has tendered his resignation to Assembly Speaker Shankar Chaudhary. After meeting with Gujarat BJP state president CR Paatil, Ladani, representing Manavadar, decided to step down. Manavadar Assembly falls under the Porbandar Lok Sabha constituency.

After resigning as Manavadar's MLA, Ladani stated, 'I’ve resigned for my constituency's development. In the next two days, I’ll join the BJP as per a planned event. My assembly's workers wished that I join BJP. I will contest the by-election from Manavadar. Being part of the government will expedite development of my region. Development is the sole reason for my resignation. I wasn’t bribed for my resignation, and I don’t have or need any money.'
