Agenda Aajtak 2024:

On the first day of Agenda Aajtak 2024, during the 'Education's Test' session, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan addressed critical issues such as paper leaks and the pattern for conducting examinations. He expressed his intention to lessen the reliance of students on coaching centers.

Reducing Dependence on Coaching Centers is Our Priority

Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan stated his desire to work on reducing the dependency of students on coaching centers in the coming year. It is also our responsibility. We aim to organize our system so efficiently that students do not need coaching to pass any entrance exams.

Work Begins on Plan to Reduce Coaching Center Reliance

Dharmendra Pradhan explained that steps have already been taken in this direction. IIT has 19,000 seats. This year, among the 19,000 selected students, 2,000 are from Navodaya Vidyalayas and Kendriya Vidyalayas, who did not require coaching. Additionally, IIT Kanpur has introduced an AI app that immediately aids students in real-time. Furthermore, the major recommendation of NEP is to systematize education so that students do not have to turn to coaching.

Conducting Error-Free Entrance Examinations

Dharmendra Pradhan also discussed paper leaks, emphasizing that it is our duty to ensure entrance examinations are error-free. To achieve this, numerous internal reforms are underway. Following this model, error-free medical, JEE, and other exams will be conducted. He further revealed that the government has introduced strict laws against those facilitating and participating in cheating during entrance examinations. We will blend computer-based and pen-and-paper methods to conduct error-free exams and have sought assistance from state governments as well.
