For the February 19 visit, BSNL had detailed a minute-by-minute itinerary for Director Vivek Banzal. From his arrival to the rituals, the arrangements for clothes post-bathing, towels, meals, and daily routines were meticulously planned. Specific officers were tasked with each arrangement.

Deployment of Over 50 Officers

Under the protocol, more than 50 officers were assigned duties to ensure the Director's visit went smoothly without any discomfort. Instructions were clear: nothing, from towels to other personal items needed post-bathing, should be overlooked.

Once the protocol appeared on social media, it sparked a wave of criticism, with users dubbing it a regal setup. With the issue escalating to higher authorities, Director Vivek Banzal's Prayagraj visit was promptly canceled the following day.

No Response from BSNL Regarding the Protocol

BSNL’s Public Relations Officer, Ashish Gupta, confirmed the cancellation of the visit, stating the issued protocol is now invalid. However, he chose not to comment on the controversy surrounding the protocol.
