Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed the Slum Leaders' Convention at the auditorium of Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Saturday. As claimed, over 3,000 people attended the event. Amit Shah intensified BJP's attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) with his campaign. Under the banner 'Won't Tolerate AAP', Shah accused the Kejriwal-led government of deceiving the residents of Delhi's slum areas and promised that under BJP rule, 'every slum dweller will have a permanent home'.
Promises amid Criticism of AAP
Shah reassured the gathering that BJP has taken note of all their grievances which have been submitted for action to BJP President JP Nadda and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Shah stated, “We will ensure all your problems are resolved. Your needs will be included in our manifesto and unlike AAP, they will be fulfilled.”
Labeling AAP as a “disaster” for Delhi, Shah harshly criticized Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and accused him of failing the city over the past decade, highlighting issues like:
Lack of free electricity and basic development in slum areas.
Poor infrastructure with potholed roads and polluted air and water, including the Yamuna River.
Broken promise of quality education, claiming 525,000 students are deprived of school access.
