Tensions escalated in Parliament after BJP MP Pratap Chandra Sarangi was injured during a protest spurred by Home Minister Amit Shah's remarks on Bhimrao Ambedkar. The BJP alleged that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi pushed another MP, leading to Sarangi's injury. Union Minister Kiren Rijiju accused Rahul of attacking two BJP MPs during the protest, an allegation strongly denied by Congress.

Reports indicate that BJP MP Pratap Sarangi sustained head injuries. Sarangi recounted, 'I was standing near the steps when Rahul Gandhi came along and pushed an MP, who fell onto me. I fell as a result.'

What transpired after the shoving incident?

Following Sarangi's fall, Rahul Gandhi turned back to check, but lawmakers supporting the current government adopted a combative stance. BJP MP Nishikant Dubey's voice echoed, 'Rahul, aren’t you ashamed? You engage in hooliganism and knocked over an elder.'

In response, Rahul Gandhi replied, 'They pushed me.' Then Rahul Gandhi left, amidst slogans being chanted by BJP members.

'Captured on Camera...'

Reacting to Sarangi's allegation, Rahul Gandhi stated, 'It's all captured on camera. I was trying to enter the House when BJP MPs pushed and threatened me. Kharge ji was also pushed. Shoving won't deter us. BJP members cannot bar us from entering the Parliament.'

Rahul reiterated his intent to enter Parliament, asserting his right. He mentioned attempts to block their way, with BJP MPs engaging in shoving and intimidation. 'This is the entrance of the Parliament,' Rahul said, emphasizing the attempts to forcefully prevent him from entering.
