President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Army Chief, and the Navy Chief all congratulated scientists and engineers, highlighting this as a testament to Pakistan's power.
Since tensions with India in May 2025, Pakistan has showcased new missiles continuously. In September 2025, the army tested the Fateh-4 cruise missile, which has a 750 km range and is ground-launched. Now, a ship-launched ballistic missile is ready.

Now, Pakistani ships can remain distant at sea and sink enemy vessels, including India’s, within a minute. This missile ascends to high altitudes before diving straight down to strike the target, making it hard to intercept. Pakistan claims their navy is now more formidable.
India already holds missiles like BrahMos, Nirbhay, and Agni, hence both sides are engaged in an arms race. The positive aspect is that these are just tests, with no current reports of warfare.
