Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate and lay the foundation for development projects worth over 12,200 crore INR in Delhi today. Prior to this, PM Modi is traveling on the 'Namo Bharat' train from Sahibabad RRTS Station to New Ashok Nagar RRTS Station. At New Ashok Nagar, he will inaugurate the 13 km long Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat corridor, costing approximately 4,600 crore INR. This will be Delhi's first 'Namo Bharat' connectivity, easing travel between Delhi and Meerut. Millions will benefit from the high-speed, comfortable travel, which will reduce travel time by a third, allowing passengers to travel from New Ashok Nagar to Meerut South in just 40 minutes.
Inauguration of Delhi Metro Phase-IV
Alongside, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the 2.8 km stretch from Janakpuri to Krishna Park, the first opening section of Delhi Metro Phase-IV. This project, prepared at a cost of 1,200 crore INR, will benefit areas in West Delhi like Krishna Park, Vikaspuri, and Janakpuri.
Foundation Stone for Rithala-Kundli Corridor
PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for the 26.5 km long Rithala-Kundli section, costing approximately 6,230 crore INR. This corridor will connect Rithala (Delhi) to Nathupur (Kundli, Haryana), boosting connectivity for regions in Northwest Delhi and Haryana such as Rohini, Bawana, Narela, and Kundli.
Foundation of New Building of Central Ayurveda Research Institute
Additionally, Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation of a new state-of-the-art building for the Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI) in Rohini, New Delhi, with an investment of about 185 crore INR. This new campus will be equipped with advanced facilities for health and medicine, including administrative, OPD, IPD, and dedicated treatment blocks. These projects aim to enhance connectivity and health facilities for millions in Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh.
