The two accused arrested in connection to the shooting outside actor Salman Khan's residence have ties to Bihar. The police apprehended the accused in Bhuj, Gujarat, today. Their names are Sagar Pal and Vicky Gupta, originally from Champaran, Bihar. It’s noted that the Mumbai Crime Branch has informed Salman Khan and his family about the arrest of the duo, alleviating the family's worries since the incident.
Following the shooting outside Salman Khan's house, the Mumbai Crime Branch team was keeping a tight watch. After the arrest, sources revealed the Crime Branch team is also working on the case in Champaran district, Bihar. This makes it quite fascinating to learn how the Mumbai Police's Crime Branch team was successful in arresting the two individuals.
How were the arrests made?
The ongoing operation of the mobile phones used by the two suspects was a significant advantage for the investigating police. The Crime Branch activated its informants network and started tracking the culprits' phones. Their location was traced to Kutch, Gujarat.
Success at Midnight for the Crime Branch
By Monday afternoon, the team had pinpointed their location, and a task force was sent to Gujarat. The squad flew from Mumbai to Rajkot, then traveled nearly 350 kilometers by road to reach Kutch. The officers were tracking the phone locations of the suspects. The team reached Nakhtrana, notified the local police, and took four officers with them from the local police station, as the suspects were likely armed. Meanwhile, they had already informed the nearest police station of their approach to the suspects' location.

Eventually, around midnight, the suspects were detained near the principal Ashapura Mata temple in Kutch and brought to Bhuj by road. They were later flown to Mumbai from Bhuj on an Air India flight.
Weapons Discarded in a River
Bhuj's SP Mahendra Bagaria confirmed to Aaj Tak that according to preliminary information, the weapons were provided by an unknown person in Bandra on the night of April 13th. They were residing in Panvel and had carried out reconnaissance of Salman's residence using a bike and autorickshaw. The following day, they fired shots outside Salman Khan's home. They told our officers that they had disposed of the weapons.
Bihar Connection Made in Haryana
Now, let's inform you about the Bihar connection of these two accused. According to information, Sagar Pal worked in Haryana for two years, where he came in contact with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Vicky Gupta also worked in Haryana and met Sagar Pal there. Both shooters hail from Masahi village in Narkatiaganj tehsil of West Champaran, Bihar.
Sources say that the plan to fire shots outside Salman’s house was hatched well in advance. According to this plan, both culprits arrived in Mumbai on February 28. On the following day, they went to Bandra to reconnoiter Salman Khan's home. They had also visited the Taj Lands End hotel.
Took a Holi Break In Between
After that, they moved to reside in Harigram village in Panvel. A rental agreement was made on March 10. For the rental agreement, they provided their original Aadhar cards. The rental agreement was for a period of 11 months. They bought a bike for 24,000 rupees on April 2. From February 29 to March 1, the culprits regularly reconnoitered Salman Khan's residence in Bandra. On March 25, both culprits went to the Champaran district in Bihar to celebrate Holi. After celebrating Holi in the village, they returned to Mumbai on April 1. It was in Mumbai that they were provided with weapons. They were being directed through an Indian number.
How did the Accused Reach Gujarat?
As per the allegations, Vicky and Sagar, after executing the shooting, fled on their bike early Sunday morning from Galaxy Apartment in Bandra. After firing the shots, they left Mumbai and later went to the Ashapura temple in Kutch for a visit.
Lawrence Bishnoi is Imprisoned in a Gujarat Jail
It's also noteworthy that Lawrence Bishnoi himself is incarcerated in Sabarmati Jail in Gujarat.
