Where are the protests occurring?

The demonstrations are taking place in various regions such as Amritsar, Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Moga, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Mohali, and Patiala.

Notably, farmers are exerting pressure on the central government to meet multiple demands, including a legal guarantee for MSP. Previously, after security forces in Haryana fired tear gas at the Punjab border, protesting farmers had postponed their march to Delhi on Saturday.

Farmer leaders had stated that a tractor march would now occur on December 16th. During this period, tractor marches will be conducted nationwide except in Punjab. Additionally, there was a warning issued to completely halt train operations from noon to 3 PM on December 18th.
