Residents of Kolkata experienced unsettling tremors from an earthquake, registering a magnitude of 5.5 on the Richter scale. In the ensuing panic, people hurriedly exited their homes and offices. Fortunately, no casualties or damages have been reported so far.
Initial reports indicate that the earthquake's epicenter was located in Bangladesh, with tremors lasting only a few seconds. Numerous individuals across the city felt their furniture shake and saw buildings sway.

Upon sensing the earthquake’s intensity, employees quickly vacated their office premises and gathered in open areas. Several videos have surfaced depicting people congregating outdoors following the tremors.
It is reported that the earthquake's epicenter was 10 kilometers beneath the surface, located approximately 100 kilometers north of Kolkata.
