Fakir Muhammad Khan, former independent legislator and leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from Gurez, Jammu and Kashmir, tragically took his own life on Thursday by shooting himself. This sorrowful incident occurred at his government quarters in Srinagar's Tulsibagh, where he resided.

At 62, Fakir Muhammad Khan shot himself at his government residence, resulting in his immediate death. BJP spokesperson Altaf Thakur confirmed this tragic event, stating that the former legislator has committed suicide. However, the reasons behind this tragic decision are not yet clear.
