In Delhi's Chhawla area, following a clash with the infamous Kala Jathedi gang, police arrested two notorious sharpshooters. Acting on precise intelligence about the activities of Amit Dagar, the brother of jailed gangster Om Prakash, also known as Kala, and his associate Ankit, a police team moved swiftly to the scene late Saturday night.
The team surrounded the two infamous criminals. In a desperate attempt, they opened fire at the police, prompting a retaliatory shootout that ended with both suspects injured in their legs, securing their arrest. They were taken for preliminary medical treatment at a local hospital and are now undergoing intense interrogation in custody.
The police revealed these individuals to be key members of the Kala Jathedi gang. Authorities remain committed to delving further into gang operations to unravel the entirety of their criminal network. Notably, five days prior, Delhi police had apprehended three shooters from the same gang, correlating their arrest with two recent shootings in the Dwarka neighborhood.
Among those detained were individuals known as Mohit alias Shooter, Manish alias Haathi, and Praveen alias Tona. Serving as operatives under the directives of incarcerated mastermind Om Prakash alias Kala, these syndicate members were involved in a firing incident on March 16 at a businessman’s residence in Vinoba Enclave, Najafgarh, narrowly missing their mark as the businessman was absent at the time.

Subsequent intelligence tipped off that Mohit and Manish were to appear in Baba Haridas Nagar. When confronted by the police near Mahesh Garden, the duo attempted to flee while exchanging fire with pursuing officers. However, their escape was thwarted, as police succeeded in shooting and capturing them.
March of last year saw the notorious gangster Sandeep alias Kala Jathedi and his bride Lady Don Anuradha Chaudhary tie the knot. Delhi's judicial system granted the underworld figure a six-hour custody parole to attend the nuptials and a similar respite for their homecoming ritual on March 14. However, subsequent court rulings negated this privilege.
This remarkable wedding took place on March 12 in Delhi's Santosh Garden, precisely timed within the court-sanctioned constraints, with each ritual aligned meticulously against the ticking clock. Ensuring security, the police were profoundly present throughout the ceremony to maintain order.
