The third and final match of the ODI series between India and Australia took place on Saturday, October 25, at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). The Indian team achieved a resounding 9-wicket victory. Australia set a target of 237 runs, which India chased down successfully in just 38.3 overs, with Rohit Sharma scoring an unbeaten 121 runs and Virat Kohli remaining unbeaten at 74.

Previously, the Indian team faced a 7-wicket defeat in the first ODI match held in Perth under the DLS rule. They also lost by 2 wickets in Adelaide.
