Let's uncover the complete narrative...
ACP Mohsin Khan was stationed at the Kanpur Police Commissionerate. Accusations against him include deceiving an IIT Kanpur student by falsely claiming bachelorhood and engaging in a months-long exploitative relationship. Although already married and a father, he led the student to believe he was single. When his lies were exposed, he fabricated a divorce story.
How the Meeting with the Student Occurred
While positioned as ACP in Kanpur, Mohsin Khan pursued a Ph.D. at IIT Kanpur with special permission. It was during this time that he met the 26-year-old student, who was also pursuing her Ph.D. in IT at IIT Kanpur.
The student claims that ACP Mohsin Khan, under the pretense of being unmarried, fostered closeness with her and later coerced her into a physical relationship with the promise of marriage. When she pressured him for marriage, he leveraged his authority to divert her attention. Eventually, the student realized that Mohsin was married with a child.
Consequently, the student reported the allegations to her instructors and senior police officials. With the intervention of IIT Kanpur's management, police officials visited the IIT campus to record her statement. The IIT management has also kept the authorities informed.
