Gurugram's condition deteriorated due to the heavy rains. Not just Iffco Chowk, but most city roads were gridlocked by evening. In this deluge, local authorities issued a travel advisory. DC and District Disaster Management Authority Chairman Ajay Kumar advised schools and corporates to function online. The Meteorological Department reported over 100 mm of rainfall recorded between 3 PM and 7 PM on Monday, issuing an orange alert for heavy to very heavy rains on Tuesday.
