Farmers stationed at the Punjab and Haryana (Shambhu) border are now planning a march to Delhi this Sunday. This announcement was made by farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher. He mentioned that initially, the central and state ministers claimed farmers preferred tractors, but now we're traveling on foot. If we reached Delhi, we would question the Prime Minister directly. Pandher declared that the attack on us is a moral victory. We are ready to talk and wish to converse with the central agriculture minister. However, the march will not be held on Saturday; instead, it will proceed on Sunday.

Following a clash with Haryana police, a press conference by KMM and SKM (non-political) unfolded. During this time, Sarwan Singh Pandher reported that 8 individuals were injured, with 2 critically injured, following the altercation with the police. The Indian government exerted force to impede us, despite us being unarmed. We dispatched a disciplined delegation of 101 people, fully aware that we wouldn't surpass barricades and arrangements, yet initiated our march. The farmer questioned why PM Modi treated us as adversaries?

'Marching to Delhi by Noon on Sunday'

Farmer leaders expressed that when Indian citizens begged foreign powers for grain, they toiled hard, ensuring independence and agricultural welfare. This represents our moral victory. We are not evading discussions. Our march will begin around noon, the day after tomorrow. Due to the government's contact for talks, we have postponed the march for today and tomorrow.

Farmers accused Haryana security personnel of deploying tear gas on the peacefully advancing protestors. The Ambala district administration had already issued a BNSS Section 163 directive preventing illegal gatherings of five or more people. Shortly before the farmers commenced their march, the Haryana government precautionarily suspended mobile internet services in 11 villages of Ambala district from December 6-9. The farmers are marching to demand a legal guarantee of minimum support price for crops from the central government.
