A significant development has emerged in the Ghazipur triple murder case in Uttar Pradesh. The police have successfully retrieved the third body of a young man from the pond in Gahmar village. This case involves the brutal murder of three youngsters last week over an old enmity, with their bodies being discarded in the pond.
Superintendent of Police, Iraj Raja, revealed that on December 24th, a violent altercation broke out between youths of two settlements in Gahmar village due to a longstanding feud. During this clash, three young men were mercilessly killed. The perpetrators then attempted to hide their heinous crime by disposing of the bodies in the pond.
The body of the third victim, Ankit Singh, aged 23, surfaced as the water level in the pond receded after several days. It was found immersed in mud at the pond's bottom and has now been sent for a post-mortem. Despite being swollen, Ankit's body was remarkably preserved due to the extremely cold temperatures, preventing rapid decay.

Continuous water influx had initially hampered the search efforts. Previously, bodies of Vicky Singh and Saurabh Singh were recovered from the same pond and autopsied. With the third body discovered, the investigation has gathered momentum, and the police remain vigilant and active.
To date, two men and one woman have been arrested in connection with this case, while questioning continues for three to four other suspects. The police anticipate more arrests as the investigation progresses. Eshwar Singh, a local resident, described the incident as heartbreaking, citing longstanding hostility between the two settlements.
Reports suggest tensions escalated following a skirmish during the Dussehra festival in October, eventually culminating in this tragic triple murder. The police confirm the victims were killed with sharp weapons like axes and knives, creating widespread unrest and protests in the village.
