Former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi on Monday. Authorities informed that he fainted twice last week, prompting doctors to advise precautionary hospital admission for an MRI and other examinations.

On January 10, Dhankhar faced two fainting spells while going to the washroom. Initially, he visited AIIMS for a routine check-up on Monday, but given the situation, doctors decided immediate hospitalization was necessary.

This is not the first time Dhankhar has encountered such issues in public life. During his tenure as Vice President, he had experienced health episodes at public events in Rann of Kutch, Uttarakhand, Kerala, and Delhi.

Last year, on July 21, Jagdeep Dhankhar resigned from his post citing poor health. In his resignation, he clearly stated that his priority was his health and that he intended to seriously follow medical advice, prompting his immediate decision to relinquish his duties.

In an official letter sent to President Droupadi Murmu, Dhankhar wrote, "Prioritizing health and adhering to doctors' recommendations, I submit my resignation from the office of the Vice President of India under Article 67(A) of the Constitution."
