NEET UG 2024 Registration Extended:
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has brought respite to candidates who have yet to register for NEET UG 2024. The deadline for online registration for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduate (NEET UG 2024) has been extended. Eligible candidates can now apply for the UG medical entrance exam until March 16th.
Technical Issues Plague NEET UG Form
The previous deadline for NEET UG 2024 online registration was March 9th. However, candidates were facing technical issues. Students had trouble logging in with their Aadhaar card details. There were also issues receiving OTPs on mobile phones when attempting to log in with Aadhaar numbers.
Fill NEET UG Form Before March 16th
NTA, offering relief to aspirants, has decided to extend the registration deadline to March 16th. Candidates who haven't applied yet can do so via the official website at Exams.nta.ac.in/NEET/. The NTA notification states that application forms can be submitted until March 16th until 10:50 PM, and the examination fee payment can be concluded by 11:50 PM on the same day.
The NTA notice articulates that 'there will be no changes to the examination norms and conditions compared to the previous year, excluding the already notified syllabus. The revised NEET UG information bulletin has also been uploaded. NEET UG 2024 Registration: How to Apply
Step 1. Go to NTA's official website exams.nta.ac.in. Step 2. Click on the direct link for NEET UG 2024 on the homepage. Step 3. Click on new login and fill in the details. Step 4. Fill in the form and upload your documents. Step 5. Pay the application fee. Step 6. Click on submit and download the form for future reference.
Application Fee
The last date for successful transaction of fee through Credit/Debit Card/Net-Banking/UPI is March 9, 2024, until 11:50 PM. General and NRI candidates must pay an application fee of ₹1,700. Meanwhile, General-EWS/OBC-NCL candidates will pay ₹1,600 and SC/ST/PwBD/Third Gender candidates will pay ₹1,000.
What Happens After Registration?
As per the information, once the registration closes, a correction window will open to rectify any mistakes made during application. Dates for the correction window opening and admit card issuance will be informed later on the website.
NEET UG Exam to be held on May 5th
The exam is scheduled for May 5th, 2024, from 2 PM to 5:20 PM. The duration of the examination is 200 minutes. The results of the medical entrance exam are to be declared on June 14th, 2024.
