The forecasting agency, Skymet, suggests that during the next 24 hours, the coasts of Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka might be drenched with heavy to very heavy rainfall. Light to moderate showers, potentially heavy in isolated areas, are expected on the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Coastal Andhra Pradesh may experience light rain.

Regional Weather Dynamics

As per Skymet, a depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjacent Indian Ocean could intensify. This system is likely to advance towards the coastal domains of Sri Lanka and Tamil Nadu. Additionally, a cyclonic circulation persists over sub-Himalayan West Bengal, indicating possible light rain in the area. A new western disturbance is anticipated to impact the Western Himalayan region starting November 29, potentially altering weather patterns in northern India's mountainous regions.
