The People's Liberation Army (PLA) of China has introduced its new air defense system, the HQ-9B, operated by the Central Theater Command. Previously, this air defense system could launch four missiles, but now it has the capability to launch eight missiles at once to neutralize any threat effectively.
According to a report by the Global Times, the new system features smaller-sized long-range missiles capable of surface-to-air attacks. This makes China's air defense one of the most advanced surface-to-air missile systems in the world.
