Spoke to Paralympic Athletes

During his visit to Brunei, PM Modi took some time out to speak to the Paralympic athletes over the phone. He shared a picture of the conversation on his Instagram post. He wrote, "After a day of activities in Brunei Darussalam, we called our Paralympic champions and congratulated them." PM Modi added, "India is proud of its athletes!"

PM Modi was welcomed at the historic mosque by Brunei's Minister of Religious Affairs, Pehin Dato Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin, and the Minister of Health, Dato Dr. Haji Mohammad Isham.

Built in 1958, the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque is not just a place for worship but a cultural monument. Named after the 28th Sultan of Brunei, its structure is inspired by Mughal architecture. The building uses Shanghai granite and Italian marble.

The mosque features beautiful stained glass detailing that attracts visitors. Its 52-meter-high minaret is the tallest in central Bandar Seri Begawan, representing Brunei's rich Islamic heritage.
