Therefore, DRDO has mounted it on an 8x8 truck system for the Air Force, making it deployable from the ground. VL-SRSAM stands for Vertical Launch Short Range Surface to Air Missile. Its striking power and speed are extremely lethal, making it undetectable by enemy radar. Whether it's an enemy missile, aircraft, helicopter, or drone, it takes them down.
Unveiling the Strength of This Missile and Air Defense System...
This missile is equipped with an indigenous radio frequency seeker, enhancing its accuracy. It is designed to target low-altitude threats, meaning aircraft, drones, missiles, or helicopters trying to evade radar detection cannot trick India anymore. The VL-SRSAM will shred enemy defenses.

Developed to Replace Barak-1 Missiles
This missile has been developed with contributions from the Defense Research and Development Laboratory Pune, Research Centre Imarat Hyderabad, and Research and Development Pune. It is intended to be deployed on warships to replace the Barak-1 missiles, which were jointly developed by Israel Aerospace Industries and Rafael Advanced Defense Systems.

Provides Terrifying Sky Defense for Short Ranges
The VL-SRSAM has a range of 25 to 30 km and can reach altitudes of up to 12 km. Its speed is more than double that of the Barak-1, flying at a blistering Mach 5556.6 km/hr. It can be launched from any warship and has a unique 360-degree targeting capability, ensuring the enemy is destroyed.
