The Chura-Dahi feast, a traditional Makar Sankranti celebration in Bihar, often becomes a focal point in the state's political discourse. On Tuesday, Union Minister Chirag Paswan hosted the event at his party office, extending an invitation to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. While Kumar attended the event, he left without tasting the Chura-Dahi.

As Chief Minister Nitish Kumar arrived at Chirag Paswan's party office, he found Paswan absent and soon left without indulging in the feast. This incident stirred political circles, heating up conversations even in the cold season and raising numerous questions. Additionally, it sparked a renewed discussion on the relationship between Chirag Paswan and Nitish Kumar.

Chirag Paswan has since offered his clarification on the matter. He stated, "We must respect the busy schedule of the Honorable Chief Minister. When he arrived, I was engaged in a special ritual. As a Union Minister, it was important for me not to abandon the ritual in the middle of Makar Sankranti. Hence, the Chief Minister's visit was, in itself, significant."

The coalition leader's presence and blessings are of great value to us. Paswan further mentioned that had he not been engaged in the ritual, he certainly would have attended to Kumar personally.

It is noteworthy that a Chura-Dahi event was also held on Tuesday at the residence of RJD Supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav on Circular Road No. 10. Additionally, Bihar BJP President Dilip Jaiswal organized a similar feast at the party office, inviting all NDA leaders.
