Early Saturday morning in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, a cow was savagely killed near the Police Commissioner's bungalow, prompting swift action from authorities, including the Commissioner himself. The news of the cow's slaying spread rapidly, inciting anger among the locals. The black cow belonged to Shyam Narayan Yadav.

It had been missing since Friday evening. On Saturday morning, its mutilated body was found in an old mill compound, with its throat slit and stray dogs mauling the carcass. The owner, Shyam Narayan Yadav, revealed his cow had been missing since the previous evening.

As word of the incident spread, a significant crowd gathered at the scene. The community calls for the quick arrest and severe punishment of the perpetrators.

The Commissioner, Akhil Kumar, declared the case to be serious, assuring that the NSA (National Security Act) would be swiftly imposed on whoever is found responsible for this heinous act. It's worth noting that this isn't the first incident of cattle slaughter in Kanpur, as several have occurred over the past two years.
