In a shocking turn of events, former Director General of Police (DGP) of Karnataka, Om Prakash, was found dead under mysterious circumstances at his residence in Bengaluru. Inside sources have informed 'Aaj Tak' that the police suspect he was murdered following a gruesome attack with a sharp-edged weapon. Former DGP's wife, Pallavi, and daughter have been taken into custody for questioning. His body has been sent for a post-mortem examination at the hospital.
According to initial information, his wife is believed to be a prime suspect in the murder of the former DGP.
Knife Marks on Neck and Abdomen
Grisly photographs have emerged of former DGP Om Prakash lying blood-soaked on the floor, with knife marks slashed across his neck and abdomen. His clothes were torn, and his body seemed covered with a mysterious black substance which remains unidentified.

What Did Bengaluru Police Commissioner B. Dayanand Say?
Speaking to the media, Bengaluru Police Commissioner B. Dayanand revealed that the former DGP's body was found in a pool of blood. He acknowledged a possible attack with a sharp weapon leading to his death. They have initiated contact with his son, who has filed a complaint, based on which an FIR will be lodged, and a detailed investigation will commence. On Sunday, between around 4 to 4:30 pm, news of the death of our former DGP and IGP, Om Prakash, reached us.

Introduction to Former DGP Om Prakash
Prakash was an accomplished IPS officer from the 1981 batch, originating from Champaran in Bihar. He graduated with an MSc in Geology. On February 28, 2015, he became Karnataka's DGP and IGP, finally retiring in January 2017.
