Arvind Kejriwal, the National Convener of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and former Chief Minister of Delhi, faced an attack ahead of the elections. AAP has released a video demonstrating the incident where Kejriwal's car was attacked, showcased with black flags, and stones were hurled.
AAP shared a post on X, claiming that 'BJP is desperate due to fear of defeat. BJP instigated this attack on Arvind Kejriwal through their associates.' They accused BJP's candidate Pravesh Verma's associates of attempting to injure him with bricks and stones during an election rally to hamper his campaign efforts. AAP declared, 'BJP folks, Kejriwal will not be intimidated by this cowardly attack, and Delhi's citizens will give you a fitting reply.'

Meanwhile, BJP retaliated sharply against AAP’s accusations. BJP candidate from New Delhi, Pravesh Verma, claimed that Kejriwal's black car ran over their workers, injuring one severely, and he is on his way to Lady Hardinge to visit them. Verma pointed out that the government running Delhi for 11 years is responsible for rampant corruption and degradation of Delhi's state. Today, I urge the citizens of our nation and Delhi to save the city; in 11 years, the Yamuna has turned foul and became like a drain.
Regarding the alleged attack on Kejriwal, Delhi Police clarified there was no assault; there was a public meeting of Arvind Kejriwal at Lal Bahadur Sadan where some BJP members came to ask questions. During this time, slogans were shouted on both sides. The police managed the situation by dispersing the crowds.
