The US Military announced on Tuesday that it launched a strike on a Houthi military base in Sana'a, the capital of Yemen. This strike, led by the United States, targeted the Iran-backed rebel forces with newfound vigor. The Houthi media office acknowledged the attack, stating, "The assault involved a significant portion of the rebel's defense ministry complex. No immediate reports of casualties have emerged."
The US Central Command reported, "A major command and control facility was targeted late Monday night, serving as the 'coordination hub for Houthi operations'. These attacks encompassed assaults on American naval vessels and merchant ships in both the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden."
Houthis Remain Active Amid Israeli-Hamas War
Following the onset of the Israeli-Hamas conflict in Gaza last year, Houthi rebels have continuously targeted numerous commercial vessels with missiles and drones. The rebels have hijacked one ship and sunk two, resulting in the tragic loss of four sailors. Their declared aim is to end Israel's anti-Hamas campaign by attacking vessels linked to Israel, the USA, or the United Kingdom.
Nevertheless, many attacked ships bear little or no connection to the struggle, including some heading to Iran.

On Monday, the US launched an attack just hours after Houthi rebels fired a hypersonic ballistic missile towards Israel. The missile triggered alarms in the Tel Aviv metropolitan area. The Israeli military announced they had intercepted the missile outside Israeli borders. However, fragments from an Israeli interceptor missile landed harmlessly on the roof of a house in Eastern Jerusalem.
