In Kaithal, Haryana, a hacking incident targeting the Election Commission's website has come to light, involving a political rally request by an AAP worker. The application was rejected with the use of offensive language.
Alongside this, another application featuring a photograph of an actress was also dismissed. In response, the district administration took immediate action; ARO Brahm Prakash issued suspensions for five employees and penned a letter to the police for proper investigation.
Staff Received Training from Administration
As per the Code of Conduct for Lok Sabha elections, all parties must seek online permission for rallies from district administration. The Election Commission launched the ECore website to facilitate this. Just two days ago, staff received training on this procedure from the district administration.

Rally Permissions Rejected Amid Scandal: ARO
ARO Brahm Prakash informed that upon learning of the incident, he immediately suspended the five employees responsible, including a computer operator and a junior engineer. He has also written to the police to take action against unidentified individuals, and the police will be conducting a full investigation.
Speaking on the incident, Haryana's Deputy Chairman Anurag Danda emphasized that the election commission’s impartiality is vital for democracy. AAP had applied for permission for their events in Kaithal district, only to be met with objectionable comments and a denial of permission.
