Before the upcoming assembly elections in Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has kicked off his election campaign. Today, on January 3rd, he handed over keys to 'Swabhiman Flats' to 1675 families living in slums in Ashok Vihar, Delhi. These flats have been constructed on the same sites as the slums.
During the program in Delhi, PM Modi fiercely criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government. PM Modi asserted, 'I too could have built palatial residences, but my dream was to ensure housing for my compatriots. Whether now or later, permanent homes will be built for them. Furthermore, 3000 more flats will be handed over in the coming days.'
PM Modi's Major Criticisms
1.
For the last 10 years, Delhi has been engulfed in a significant 'calamity'. A few 'dishonest' individuals have pushed Delhi towards disaster.
2.
AAP has descended upon Delhi as a 'calamity', and the calamitous government has adversarial relations with the people of Delhi.
3.
The Ayushman Bharat scheme is active across the nation, yet it's being blocked here (in Delhi), causing detriment to its citizens.
4.
The Delhi government tells blatant lies. Those who have been in the state government for the last 10 years have damaged the education system significantly.
5.
Those who once spoke of Delhi's development have committed fraud in liquor outlets, schools for children, healthcare for the poor, anti-pollution initiatives, and recruitment processes.
Government's Focus Areas
Prime Minister Narendra Modi further stated, 'This year will be pivotal in making India a major production hub worldwide. This year will advance the nation's youth rapidly in new startups and entrepreneurship. The agricultural sector will achieve new milestones. This year will enhance the ease of living.'
Two Projects Launched Virtually
Alongside the Swabhiman Flats, PM Modi also virtually inaugurated two urban redevelopment projects. He launched the World Trade Center in Nauroji Nagar, the GPRA Type-II residences in Sarojini Nagar, and an integrated CBSE office complex in Dwarka. PM Modi also laid the virtual foundation for Veer Savarkar College in Roshanpura, Najafgarh.
