Chennai to Champaran: The majestic Shivling made in Chennai is set for consecration at the Virat Ramayana Temple in the village of Jankinagar, Cathwal, East Champaran.

A monumental Shivling being transported from Chennai, Tamil Nadu to Champaran, Bihar has become the focal point of fascination. Currently traversing NH-44 via Jabalpur to Nagpur, it has drawn worshippers from far and wide along its route.

Weighing a staggering 180,000 kg and towering at 30 feet, this colossal structure is being carried on a 110-wheel trailer.

The trailer's driver, Arun Kumar, mentioned that they embarked on their journey from Chennai 23 days ago and anticipate reaching Champaran in 20 days.

The eventual consecration of the Shivling will take place at the grand Virat Ramayana Temple, still under construction in Jankinagar village, Cathwal, East Champaran. The Mahavir Mandir Trust Committee spearheads the temple's creation.

The main temple spans 1080 feet in length and 540 feet in width, featuring a total of 18 spires along with 22 additional temples. The temple spire is envisioned to rise 270 feet high.

This Shivling is a masterpiece chiseled from a single stone, thanks to ten years of dedicated effort by Vinayak Venkataraman's company, at an investment of approximately ₹3 crores. In Pattikadu village of Mahabalipuram, architect Loknath meticulously crafted this imposing Shivling. The stunning aspect is its surface adorned with 1,008 tiny Shivlings.
