Witness the intense face-off between India's young batting sensation, 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi, and Pakistan's fiery pacer Ali Raza during the U19 Asia Cup 2025 final in Dubai on Sunday. Suryavanshi's dismissal put India in a precarious position, but the heated exchange between the two players lit up the match before that.

Heated Debate on the Field

Post-dismissal, Suryavanshi was visibly displeased with words exchanged by Ali Raza. While walking back to the pavilion, he responded with gestures that included pointing towards his shoe, a moment now going viral on social media.

A Tempestuous Start, Then a Sudden Setback

Chasing a daunting target of 348 runs, young Vaibhav Suryavanshi gave India a blazing start. Pakistan had set a formidable score of 347 runs in their 50 overs, putting immense pressure on India.

The very first over, bowled by Ali Raza, saw Suryavanshi smashing two sixes and a four, signaling his intent for another big innings. He opened with a six off the first ball. The pressure showed on Raza who bowled a no-ball allowing Suryavanshi to add two more runs. Taking full advantage of the free hit, Suryavanshi hit a boundary, then catapulted the next ball into the stands.

In just three balls, India leapt to 19 runs without losing a wicket. In the next over, Suryavanshi hit another six off Mohammad Sayyam.

Hopes Dashed in the Fifth Over

However, this assault couldn't last long. In the fifth over, Suryavanshi inadvertently edged a length ball, which was safely caught by Pakistan's wicketkeeper. Suryavanshi returned to the pavilion after a brisk 26 off just 10 balls.

Ali Raza celebrated exuberantly and said a few words as Suryavanshi walked back, who heard the ‘send-off’ and responded before leaving, with his gesture towards his foot sparking further discussion.

Ultimately, India faced a severe 191-run defeat in this encounter, allowing Pakistan to claim the Under-19 Asia Cup title for the second time.

Samir Minhas' Historic Innings

Earlier, Pakistan's opener Samir Minhas continued his excellent form, thrashing India's bowlers around the park. He scored a mammoth 172 runs off just 113 balls, including 17 fours and 9 sixes.
