The leader of Aam Aadmi Party, Arvind Kejriwal, made a monumental announcement this Thursday. He announced that the Delhi government has fulfilled its promise by approving the Women's Honor Fund scheme.
Kejriwal stated, 'Today, I am here to share two major declarations for the people of Delhi—especially my sisters and mothers of the city. Each woman in Delhi will have 1000 rupees deposited in their bank account every month. This scheme has now been implemented.'
He added that a proposal was passed in today's cabinet meeting of the Delhi government. Every woman above the age of 18 in the capital will start receiving this amount monthly. For this, women will need to register, and those who register will begin receiving 1000 rupees in their accounts every month.
Kejriwal announced that registration under this scheme will commence tomorrow, and post-election, the amount received by women will increase from 1000 rupees to 2100 rupees monthly.
Kejriwal further expressed, 'Women manage their households, impart good values to children, and bring them up. If we can assist them even slightly in this endeavor, we consider ourselves fortunate. Hindu teachings say, where women are worshiped, there the gods reside. Through this scheme, I believe that the government's expenditure will not increase, but rather prosperity will come to the government of Delhi.'
I am a magician of accounts...
Kejriwal mentioned that some people were saying this couldn't happen. But when Kejriwal decides to do something, nothing can stop him. Alongside two crore people of Delhi, we overcome the greatest obstacles to accomplish all our works.
He responded to the accusations from BJP members stating that he is lying and questioning the source of funds. 'To those of BJP, I want to say I am a magician—I am a magician of accounts. I know where to source, save, and where to spend money. Don't you worry. Once I commit, it is done. I've started the distribution of 1000 rupees every month from today.' He added.
Kejriwal is set to make another major announcement that no one had imagined. While the distribution of 1000 rupees has started, it is not possible for the funds to reach accounts before the elections, which are to be announced in about 10-15 days. During our work, several women approached us, expressing that due to increasing expenses, 1000 rupees isn't sufficient. Therefore, I am declaring that from tomorrow, registration will start for 2100 rupees.
Please note, these announcements are being made ahead of the Delhi assembly elections scheduled for next year. The Aam Aadmi Party is preparing for its third return to power in Delhi.
